Filmography

“It is not your job to make something happen—Universal Forces are in place for all of that. Your work is to simply determine what you want.”

The song Weighted Blanket kinda started as a joke. Patrick was chilling with his homies listening to beats and freestyling. One of his friends played an instrumental that he had written to about a particular woman. Patrick actually has a voice note of the whole thing. The clip you hear at the top of the song was literally the inspiration. Patrick and his friend Christopher Meyer hummed & freestyled was pretty much the skeleton of Weighted Blanket. Chris was actually doing backgrounds on the song. However, the song is just Patrick’s homage and appreciation for thick women.

Music

Cage found his love for music when he was 5 years old, he was in the church choir at Agape. They gave him a solo which to this day is a strong memory for Patrick. Cage’s very FIRST audition ever was at 7 years old for The Lion King Musical production in Chicago. He heard the casting call on the radio and asked his mom to take him. Patrick ended up having like 4/5 callbacks for Young Simba. The process of the audition and learning is what made him fall in love with music. Cage continued on to a music academy high school where he played a multitude of 10 instruments. Drums, Piano, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Guitarron, Tenor Sax, Trumpet, Ukulele, Tuba, Marimba, and was even in the Mariachi band. At one point everyone only knew him for music.
